Temporary crowns and second visits for permanent crowns are now unnecessary thanks to new CEREC technology. Dr. Merrett and Maui Smiles now offer this new one-visit technology, greatly improving the experience of getting a crown.
With CEREC, we can create a 3D digital model of the tooth restoration. This can be done for crowns, veneers, onlays and inlays. Once the digital model is completed, an on-site milling machine carves out the restoration from a block of ceramic material, creating the restoration within just a few minutes.
The benefit to you is speed and accuracy. You’ll no longer have the hassle of being careful eating on a temporary crown while waiting for the laboratory to make and ship out your crown or restoration.
